| To swap out turbos there isn't a shop on the planet stupid enoug hto do it with the engine in, so- Find out what it costs to pull the motor. That's right, the motor. So realize you'll want: -New Silicone coolant hoses ALL AROUND -Replace the turbo oil lines -Replace valve cover gaskets -Replace half-Moon plugs -Replace EFI harness (You'll never have a shot at it like you will now) -Replace Rear Main Seal (Same as above) -Replace Front Main Seal (Same as above) I would also advise you to do *ANY* and *ALL* performance upgrades NOW. The tune will do just that, "tune" your car to its current components and bring it to the peak HP capabilities of the vehicle. Although there is some "breathing room" for improved/decreased performance in the tune, you're not just cheating yourself/the car by modifying it further, you also introduce the possibility of problems. Beyond that^, it's expensive and not something you want to do often. Consult your tuner with future plans before committing. Want to cut down on cost? Some of the things I mentioned are labor intensive and mechanics hate doing. Offer to do some of the work to free up their time to help bring down cost. (For example, after they pull the motor, they'll have work to do, maybe you could do the EFI harness while he's doing other things)
